Hello from Tokyo
Hi, my name is Akiko Saito. I’m a single, female writer, living in Tokyo. My hometown(where my parents are living) is a small countryside city, 350km far from Tokyo. My mom worries about my life every single day since I have left my hometown.
[!caution!] My English skill is awful. Imagine your 5 years old daughter; I’m worse than her. Pointing or warning my grammar is always welcome.
I think I’m not a “writer,” exactly. In Japan, “writer ” means a people who sold an article for media, publishers and company. “writer” is not an artist, in Japan. “writer” is not a journalist also. I am writing an article for any media for pleasing my clients. That is not a journalist. A journalist is working for telling a true story. But sometimes “writer”(in Japan) writing a more commercial story for clients as “a true story.” Hey, only SOMETIMES! We always tell a true story in our article.
That is my little introduce. I’m going to write my super excellent, exquisite inscrutable Tokyo life here. Here we go.
Last night, I saw “Grinch” movie. The film from my favorite animation studio Illumination Entertainment. I love their film “The Secret Life of Pets,” “Sing,” ”Minions.” Not a fan of “DESPICABLE ME.”
I love their movie because their computer graphics is amazing, characters are extraordinary charming. In “Grinch,” their talent is everywhere. Look at their fluffy hair and snow! They take me to a dreamland I imagined when I was a child. Storytelling is a … hmm, beginning slowly, the climax is too short. Not a perfect, but enough to make me cry. Grinch knows love…😭 BTW, Japanese doesn’t know “Grinch.” I try to read the picture book of “Grinch” later which ordinary in America.
